Yes Emerald Empire is back in Archeage after a small time away due to holidays and other stuff. If you are on the OLLO server come see us and join up if you like or just hang out and have some fun. We are gearing up for the new updates that are coming soon.
If you didn’t know ArcheAge allowed it’s players who bought ‘packs’ to have a 4 day head start of the game before the general population. Basically a land grab set up for the people who paid ‘X’ amount of money for the game. Pre-launch members of the community had a few days without a game to play so let the forum posts and trolling began!! Two different websites were set up to help guild leaders pick what server to go and get a ‘lay of the land’ before the game went live. Many guilds participated in posting and updating what server they were going to, even what faction they were going to. As the guilds planned and plotted the players were requesting off and stocking up at home all in preparation for launch… So much hype ready to bubble over and explode, it was going to be glorious!
However, at launch there were so many issues many players gave up even playing. First Glyph wouldn’t allow connections driving everyone to look to the streamers on twitch, making sure it wasn’t just their accounts or computers. ArcheAge responded to the issue on Twitter @ArcheAge
But the ‘congestion’ did not clear…. Not at all. Players had to wait 2 hour or 5 hours to even log in! If you got kicked for game you were back to the end of the line, time to wait again.. Characters were getting deleted for no apparent reason. 24 hour bans were being slapped onto people like a fat kid eating cake.
There were crazy line to get in but they were not in compared to the line to even do a quest..
We’ll have to wait and see what Trion comes up with.. For now people are continuing the grind to get to end game or curled up in a ball crying over fail plans.
For the sake of sci-fi, a new MMORPG was announced today by the makers of MechWarrior online. Although I am not a fan of MWO or Piranha , my love of sci-fi oriented games told me to post this up for everyone to see.
“Transverse features detailed ship and station construction, massive solar-system-wide player events and real-time, physics-based combat”
The Repopulation is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game that is currently in Alpha testing phase. The setting for this game takes place on the planet Rhyldan with the only known remaining human population fighting for existence against the indigenous life forms, already living on the planet. Repopulation is a sandbox oriented MMORPG, with humans splintering themselves into warring factions. Repopulation focuses around player built housing and a player based economy with a variety of combat oriented and non-combat activities.
“Rather than forcing players down preset paths they are instead allowed to walk the path which they enjoy the most”
Check out the new trailer and see for your self what this game has offer.

JUST announced ArcheAge will be released on September 16th the four day head start is September 12th and Open Beta starts Thursday!! There is also a rumor going around if you bought a pack your getting a little something more when the game comes out than previously stated!! ^^
‘Kootra’ is a well known gamer and streamer, who founded The Creatures Twitch Channel. While streaming last night Jordan Mathewson, aka Kootra, got to experience a little more of his video game than he would have liked thanks to a gaming rival @Screwpain. Screwpain called the Littleton Colorado Police station claiming that Kootra,
“‘… shot two co-workers, held others hostage, and threatened to shoot them. He stated that if the officers entered he would shoot them as well,’ the Littleton Police Department said in a statement given Wednesday afternoon.”
Effectively shutting down several schools in the area and employees from near by office building were evacuated also. Why are the police reacting so heavily? Well, if you remember back to 15 years ago this is the same town where teenagers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold opened fire in Columbine high school, Killing 13 people. I would think that they have to take EVERY threat very seriously after being the center point of all of America during Columbine. This all shows a growing trend right now of calling in fake 911 calls to online rivals just to mess with their real life. Which is a pointless and cowardly thing to do. Not to mention against the law! Screwpain tweeted that he was currently in the custody of the FBI after his prank was found out. Seems like he had a worse night than Kootra after all!
Kootra and some of the Employees at The Creatures were soon released and sent on their way, while no word yet on where Screwpain is and if he has been released yet.
You can watch the full video here! To hear the conversation between Kootra and the Police you’ll have to turn your volume up pretty high, but make sure your off voice comms first or you may end up throwing you headset off after someone talks! lol
Video Captured from one of Koota’s viewers during his live stream.
As many of you may have heard by now there was a rumor floating around about Trion’s user accounts being hacked to steal customer’s credit card information. Good new came our way through an announcement made by the Community Manager Scapes on ArcheAge’s forums:
To our Alpha and Beta testers, Let us start by saying this very clearly: Trion Worlds’ security has not been compromised in any way. There has been absolutely no breach in Trion’s servers. What happened in the last few hours is sadly nothing new: every day, bots obtain user credentials from various unprotected sites around the Internet, build lists of login and passwords, and try them on Trion’s servers (along with many other sites). If players consistently use simple or repeated passwords across different online services, these bots may get access to their accounts. Because of the current momentum around ArcheAge, hundreds of millions of such attempts were made from well over a million different IP addresses in the last few weeks, only a fraction of which ended up being successful today. The team has already started providing refunds and all players affected by fraudulent charges will be automatically refunded within the next few hours today.
>Whew< Good to know! Nothing more seems to be coming from Trion or ArcheAge not this matter and both of their twitter and Facebook accounts remain quite on the issue. If you do find your rent money gone due to a founders pack being bought with out your knowledge You can contact Trion here @ https://support.trionworlds.com/ Anyone who is worried about their accounts should change their passwords (especially if you use the same User Name and Password set up across multiple games and forums). For added security Glyph, Trion’s version of Steam, also offer a Mobile Authenticator @ Mobile Authentication.
For now though you can rest easy knowing your information wasn’t really stolen and Archage’s database hasn’t been compromised. Just a bunch of bots randomly throwing User Name and password registrations that they had grabbed from some unknown location hoping that one will stick. On a side not though this is why most gamer’s simply use a third party like Paypal to buy their gaming needs. No stored credit card information floating through the inter web!
